About Our School Facility
Boasting state of the art equipment, the facility at Dennis-Yarmouth is the most up-to-date high school facility on Cape Cod. School-wide renovations were completed in 2007, on time, and under budget. The resulting facilities now include Smart board audio and video projection in most classrooms, new science lab classrooms with up to date safety showers, sprinklers and heat detectors in each classroom, ventilated hoods for experimentation, wireless laptop computers for use in any classroom, and a fully-renovated greenhouse.
In January 2008, Representative Cleon H Turner (D-Dennis) had said “The D-Y building project is a wonderful example of several things coming together in just the right way. It began with an extraordinary building committee that stayed on top of things throughout construction and with a dedicated contractor who brought the project to completion on time and under budget. That coupled with the dedication of part of the sales tax proceeds statewide going into the state's school building fund resulted in D-Y receiving reimbursement for the costs years sooner than they otherwise would have.”
At that same meeting, Representative Demetrius J. Atsalis (D-Hyannis) had said “From the day these renovations began until the improvements were completed, it was clear that the commitment of the Massachusetts School Building Authority to our school was strong. With the help of the Authority, Dennis-Yarmouth High School is now better equipped to help its students reach their full potential.”
Our students truly appreciate and benefit from use of our school facility daily.
